The Hindu New Year begins somewhere in April. However, a lot of my viewers requested a video that talks about the general trends and predictions for 2021. On your special request, I made a video on What will 2021 be like? कैसा रहेगा 2021? (Astrology and Numerology). Do watch.
The year 2021 will begin with the effects of Mercury carrying forward from the last year. It will begin at sunrise on January 1, 2021 when the Sun will rise with Dhanu or Sagittarius Lagna. It will be a Friday, which means that the year will also see some strong effects of Friday.
There are some important things we need to note on January 1. On this day at sunrise, the rising lagna Sagittarius will be occupied by Sun and Mercury giving rise to Budhaditya yoga. Mars will be placed in Aries, Saturn will be placed in Capricorn and Moon will be placed in Cancer. This will bring strong effects from all these planets in our lives.
Rahu and Ketu will continue tightening their grip on us because of which the seeds of a new spiritual era. The people who will take it forward will not carry the image of a typical sadhu or guru. You will also notice a considerable rise in the number of people taking up unproductive loans. This will cause significant imbalance in their lives.
Mercury will go retrograde thrice in the year with one retrograde of Saturn and one of Venus. Jupiter will also go retrograde.
You will see a rise in new political faces. There will be new political celebrities that you will see emerging quickly and strongly in the country and around the world. There will be an increased focus on protectionism or people will start seeing the disadvantages of globalism or globalization. The flaws of this system will look straight into people’s faces and that will lead to tectonic shifts in how we live, do business etc.
Despite all this, there will be a sort of uncomfortable silence or comfortable numbness. There will be strong undercurrents spreading in the society which may not yet materialize. However, we will feel the tremors of this huge shift in our energies.
Numerologically, the year will be ruled by number 5 (2+0+2+1=5). This will help people in a state of transformation and will be incredibly helpful for people who are flexible in their life. This year will expand your horizons and introduce you to some new possibilities that were otherwise hidden deep in us.
The year will also bring out our exploring tendencies and will make us desperate for change. The people who outright hate or resist changes will be gone. The ones who learn to adapt will move on in life and have a great time in the years to come.
I have always maintained that 2020 wasn’t an outlier of an year. It is just the beginning of a very tumultuous decade. Our world is changing in ways we still can’t fathom and only retrospect will be able to give you the knowledge we desire. Till then, we will try to adapt and take baby steps to a good life.
